30.6.10 - Blogspot

Here is my offering of projects i have undertaken this month. The heat outside is rising and the temperature inside was even hotter, as a bevvy of beauties worked hard in the mid day heat. Sunglasses everywhere this month. We did some photos for a new model call Jemima, and a couple of sessions with the lovely Juliet. I did some fashion shots with Natascha, and as always we pushed forward looking for new talent, with some model testing. Also did some product and food photography for a change.

9.5.10 - Blogspot

This month we have concentrated on many behind the scenes projects and housekeeping. We took a day to produce some stunning thia boxing product shots and as always did some portfolio work. I think may will see me working more on products and commercial work and less on models. We also did some shots for our frinend, celebrating her pregnancy, a new style for me, but good fun and something i would be happy to do again. Our "Supermwan" shot was for our friend Mwansa who did an excellent acting showreel at our studios, and we wanted a still from the shoot. Here are some of the pictures from May.

We have now finished the refurb in reception, which has really transformed the place. This month we took some photos for our friend Brad- (hes a thai boxer) for his birthday, we also did a shoot for little Sophie, she is a sweet model and a lovely girl. Natascha and me went to Manchester to see SUEDE, fabulous live, and we were right at the front, as usual, i was deaf for about 3 days after. Our friend Lauren came over for some portfolio shots, we did some excellent work with her, and Marie Shim, provided Natascha with some adorable images, one notable vision was seeing marie and natascha outside under the flowering cherry blossom tree. and finally, Natascha let loose with a rock chick shoot for me. Im one lucky dude...

9.3.10 - Blogspot

We push ahead this month with a new project - www.studio19.tv. This is the new website for the studios - which will be starting some really exciting projects in the next couple of months - we can't reveal too much at this time, check back for news as it happens.... here are some of the latest images we have been working on. Model testing is going from strength to strength, and we have met some fabulous girls, and hope fully some top future models. We also had a visit from the totally adorable katie loves! - Have a look.

28.2.10 - Blogspot
Here we are at the end of february, and a lot has been happening. We have shot a number of beautiful girls including the rowdy - Rach. What fun we had on that shoot! - We took time to shoot some photos of the studio and some of a mac laptop. We also worked on an older image od Daisy, we hosted the band "Hot Ice" and did a shoot with 2 Estonian girls for their portfolios.

Wow this year is going so quickly, we didnt get time to upload the January blog. We have been working away in studio 19 catching up on a number of projects, and finally getting to shoot with a couple of models who we have worked with before, and due to their busy schedules, we have only just managed to catch them again. Great to see Saskia, Michelle, and idollphamine shot the lovely Rach for a special Valentine day shoot as a gift for her partner!. We also managed to squeeze in filming an advert in the studios - watch for it soon. Here are six of this months finest...from me and idollphamine - enjoy!

As we come to the last part of 2009 i thought it would be a good idea to look back at the year and reflect on our achievements. May saw us video DEVO at the forum for Warner Music LA. I have seen a copy of the finished article and can't wait for it's release. In the past 12 months we have appeared in magazines - toured with the best band in the world - met some amazing models - created the most wonderful studio and had a lot of fun. My thanks as always goes to my best friend and muse Natascha - she is one hell of a great gal! ( we even created her new persona and company name idollphamine) Below is a small homage to some of the great projects we have done this year. Even in these depressing times shooting incident have pulled together and produced an excellent client base and made many new friends - HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all

We continue to prosper and do well! We have just updated our website and have some new exciting services available. We have added a video page, so you can see what filming we do and we will be adding some of our actors showreels soon. The studio has been chocca all month with new people coming in and seeing what we are doing, we even found a little time to paint the studio!

This week we have seen a number of my photos shown on the ITV show - "Blue Murder", they were large posters on the wall of a photographers studio! - They got some excellent camera time!. Here are the ones seen.

Me and Jay have been up to all sorts over the past couple of months. Most recently we photographed a model named Sammii Rose who you'll see featured in both of our portfolios and below on the left hand side.Our shoot with her was very successful. With each shoot we do we learn something and it's rewarding to see the results and have something to refresh our portfolios with. All of the model's we have shot recently have been really good - Joanne, Kittie, Sarah, Michelle, Sian... In July we did some fun promotional shots for a hat/accessories designer Twinklebug (below,right)
We also photographed the Dragon Boat Racing event in Leeds. It's all interesting and fun!

I have just returned from another fantastic time with DEVO. I have just filmed a 6 camera shoot of their recent "Are we not men?" show in London. This was promoted by the ATP promoters. The footage is awesome, and i can't wait for it to be released. This may come later this year. The show was also recorded live - maybe for release? - watch this space...

This week i have been working out some new lighting ideas - her is an example, The brief I used was "Floating Watch" I rested the watch box on a black table, propped it up on a small wedge and lit it from behind with one flash head with a snoot attached. The watch was then lit with another flash head.- What do you think? Has it worked?
